Filling in DLA Form

Hi, I'm new here and I expect my question has been asked and answered before but I'm not very good with the computer so don't know where to look so apologies and thanks in advance for your assistance.
I was awarded DLA two years ago and it's now up for renewal so have to fill in a DLA form again. I'm going through a really rough patch at the moment and am finding it difficult to fill in so I was wondering if I can just copy what I wrote on my first application form as my situation hasn't changed.
Is this acceptable to the Benefits Office or would it predjudice my application?

Good that you kept old form!! Use it as a guide as to what to fill in this time, but remember to state if anything has changed and then there shouldn't be any problems. Keep a copy of the new one too, just in case it gets lost.
Good luck with it!0 -

If there has been no change in your condition then it is absolutely acceptable to write the same as last time.Quid quid latine dictum sit, altum videtur0 -
If there has been any change they may question why you had not previously asked for your last award to be looked at again. They ask on the form when the change happened.0

No, there has been no change in my condition. I'm also being switched over to ESA and had to deal with that assessment over Christmas. I just find it very traumatic to go over my situation to the point of utter despair as it drags up things I prefer not to think about, though of course it's only right and proper that I should be reassessed.
So it would be very helpful for me to just copy what I've written before and from your replies it seems that would be ok and you have my thanks.0 -
Yep... as above... perfectly fine.. if nothing has changed... just make sure you sign and date and change any technical details that probably have changed (like last time you saw your specialist if you have one... or dosage of medication etc).
As I said in a similar post before... there are no prizes in this game for originality.
IMO for ESA and DLA (although perhaps not so much if PIP does replace DLA) then electronically completing the PDF version of the forms and saving for regurgitation at later re-assessment or re-application seems like a sensible idea. I'm in the middle of completing ESA50 form and even though the descriptors and form has changed since I last completed it, I have probably saved myself failing to meet the deadline by having relevant material available to copy/paste."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0
