alternator belt
im not sure but my car is makin whaling noises when i start my car someone told me my alternator belt was needing tightened, is this the case? its so squeely and loud that i have to get it fixed, only problem is i have nearly zero pennys, anyone know about cost? thanks if anyone has an idea.

If its the alternator belt (could be another belt as im not sure on the clios). But for garage to do, it should be cheap as should take more than 10mins to sort and that is being generous....0

Really quick and easy job to do you could even try and do it yourself!!!
Does it start squeeking when you turn the steering wheel and pull away slowly as it could be the powersteering belt to.0 -
aye it has squeeked a few times when im accelerating slowly but mostly when i start the car really.not when i turn the steering wheel though.0
