will katalax help with furball in throat area?

we were recently given katalax from the vet for one of our cats, her problem has now cleared up.
our other cat now seems to have a furball a bit stuck in her throat. she keeps having coughing fits, appears to be on the verge of bringing something up, then stops without producing anything! she has done this before but not for this length of time (2-3 days).
she's not in any distress otherwise, eating fine & is happily playing with her favourite toy at the moment
i got the impression that the katalax was to help with passage through the digestive system. just wondering if it's suitable in this instance too?
MTIA
p.s. i would call our vets (& i will do if she's still the same in another day or in any distress), but they are a nightmare trying to get to speak to anyone & it takes hours for them to call back in a non-emergency. just thought it might be easier to ask on here in case anyone had experience. only just noticed the sticky on this board about asking for this type of help, if this isn't allowed, pls delete etc as necessary board mod

Katalax will help with furballs. I'd try her on it for a day or two and if she still hasn't coughed it up, maybe just ring your vet for some advice.£2019 in 2019 challenge:£50/2019

I have to give this to my elderly cat every day but for constipation, but on the box it does say for elimination of furballs, but check with your vet first.0

they're both indoor moggies. strangely enough the vat called me earlier today! he was checking up on the condition of our other cat after she'd been in the surgery recently.
i mentioned this problem to him & as long as it doesn't get worse or anything changes in her behaviour, try the katalax for a few days but take her in for a check up if no better.
thanks for your replies0
