help with thomson local

Hello there.
Got a problem with advertising with the thomson local.

I spoke to a chap on the phone at the start of the month and he quoted me 250 (approx) for an advert under the heading 'tree and forestry' and one under 'gardening services'. When it came to which area (I live on the devon and somerset boarder) I said I needed both because one or the other would be no use on its own, to which the chap said no problem.

When I looked on line I had two headings under gardening services one for devon and one for somerset.

I emailed to have it corrected and they said that they had made a mistake and would change one heading to tree and forestry but would not have both headings covering both areas.

I emailed saying that I had been told I could have both headings and both areas but she was having none of it!!

What can I do.. The chap said I would have it all for the price am now paying and now they are saying that I can't after I have payed (by monthly instalments)

Any advice would be much appreciated

Do you have evidence to confirm what was agreed?

If not then you are going to be hard pressed to do anything as its one persons word against another. Are you paying for print or online only inclusion?

Sadly that's probably £250 down the drain as I don't know anyone who uses Thomson Local to find tradespeople.
