Probably a stupid question and imagine it follows the usual 2-4-6 process cheques take but as Halifax and Lloyds are both RBS was wondering if it went through quicker, have a cheque from Lloyds for £20,000 to pay into my Halifax this afternoon
Does special presentation make it quicker if not?

Neither of them are connected with RBS. But they are both Lloyds Banking Group.needsomehelp2010 wrote: »Probably a stupid question and imagine it follows the usual 2-4-6 process cheques take but as Halifax and Lloyds are both RBS0 -

Neither Halifax or Lloyds are RBS. Halifax is a trading name of Bank of Scotland, which is owned by Lloyds Banking Group. RBS is the Royal Bank of Scotland which is completely different. Apart from both being Scottish, there is no connection whatsoever between RBS and Bank of Scotland.0 -
Sorry half asleep this morning, thats what I meant because they are both Lloyds banking group0

Looking at the current account T&Cs it would appear your LTSB cheque will follow the 2-4-6 process.
The only exception mentioned is that if it was a Halifax personal cheque with a value under £1,000 they'd let you draw on it immediately, rather than T+4.
As far as I know special presentation won't speed things up. Indeed, it's been posted on here before that it could actually slow things down!0 -
If you're lucky, special presentation could mean the funds are available the following day.
If you're unlucky, it could be the following week.0 -
Thanks thats what I thought to be honest, will just stick it in this afternoon and wait for it to go through, thanks everyone though0
