Hello All,
I understand that housing benefit in terms of mortgage interest relief terminates after two years.
Can someone tell me if/when it is re-instated?
Cheers

Does it? MY daughter has been receiving hers for longer than that. She can't work due to illness so maybe there are different rules.0

Yes if you’re claiming Income Based JSA after Jan 2009 then you can only get 2 years housing costs (Support with Mortgage Interest – SMI). This is not applicable to disabled/ill claimants i.e. ESA. It appears to me that you could make a new none linked benefit claim and claim SMI but you would have to wait 13 weeks again.0
