Printing in draft

Does anyone know what percentage of printer ink is saved by using fast draft print rather than normal or best print?

Thanks

About 10% saving, not a great deal but it is a saving. Using certain fonts can save on ink as well. Garamond seems to be the best, any light font will work.

Depending on the printer and how often it is used, a continous ink system may save money

A contributor to using more ink than needed is by simply switching the printer off when not in use, as whenever most printers are switched on they run a warm up routine which usually involves using ink.

If you print a lot of black and white documents, a laser is another option, though check you can get compatibles for it if you will be using those
  • Fantastic - all useful stuff. Thanks guys!
