Switching suppliers while in credit
Hi,
I was wanting to switch my gas supplier but have just noticed that my monthly direct debits have put my account in over £600 of credit! I presume that if I switch suppliers I'll automatically get this back as a cheque. Or should I try and hassle my supplier for a refund before I switch from them?

you don't normally need to hassle them. if i've ever been in credit and one month i could do with the extra money i ring them up and ask for it back and they refund with no problem, but i would assume that if you do switch you would just get it back via cheque without asking.0
