Best Reminder App?

Hi all,
I managed a group of six people at work, and each of them will have tasks that are due weekly (e.g. checking updates for software), fortnightly (e.g. bank reconciliation) and monthly (payment, invoice etc). I need to figure out an application or software, preferably free (but do let me know the paid stuff too if they are very good - keeping my options open!), which I can use to co-ordinate these tasks.
Essentially I will need the application to remind these people of what they need to do weekly, fortnightly and monthly by email.
Is there a good app for this?

If you don't have outlook at work, you could use Thunderbird http://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/thunderbird/ and Lightning http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/lightning/4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . How do you currently plan the tasks for the six people? Are they documented somewhere other than a bit of paper?0
