How do you know that they didn't send the goods out?
Why would they do that?
Every item I've purchased has been sent and received. It doesn't make any sense not to send them out, as in their T&Cs they will send you another after a certain amount of time has lapsed.
What proof do you have of them not sending the item?
Sorry, I'm not entering into a discussion about an ebay seller. I just stated my experience of that seller which I believe I'm free to do so. The OP can make up their own mind where to buy their items.
I am really pleased that you have had a good experience with them and I'm sure that they will appreciate further custom from you.0 -
Thanks to everyone for their comments. It's not my PC, and my friend has already had extra memory installed. I can understand why they want wireless, with a new Kindle, and probably another ereader before the months out. She just has so many problems trying to do things I do without thinking, and trying to download ebooks from Amazon to the PC, and then to Kindle seems to be beyond her at the moment. I'll try the old router/wireless adapter first and if that works we can go on from there. I just wish they would buy a nice shiny new one, which I wouldn't have to touch for a few months!0

I fear that you are sadly mistaken if this is what you think....any "shiny new one" will need a full set-up when it's first turned on, along with downloading and installing all the normal stuff such as flashplayer, shockwave, etc that most websites need, along with any Office-type software required. Then there's sorting out the security suite for something decent instead of the 30-day trial carp that's almost invariably installed. Then there's the transfer of user data (pics, music, etc.) and getting the machine set up to their tastes and preferences, etc.. Same with a new router, having to set it up initially.....
Just go into things with your eyes open, the belief that shiny new is less hassle can be completely wrong unfortunately.........
btw, how are they connected at the moment, are they on a broadband connection, and if so, don't they already have a wireless-capable router ?? Worth checking, as I've been to 3-4 calls recently where they had a perfectly good wifi router in use via ethernet because they didn't know it was wifi-capable and the wifi was switched off................Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

That's fine, but I'm interested to know how you knew they didn't send it.
Perhaps such knowledge will be helpful to others.
As to continuing custom with them, I will certainly review the Feedback. Though unless there has beed a serious deterioration of service, I will continue to use them where the price and quality is right.0 -
They have an ancient modem from TalkTalk, she has to click on dial up to connect to broadband, takes ages to connect, but it is broadband. They want £35 to provide a wireless router, which needs a card or adapter to work. When I said I wouldn't have to touch a shiny new machine I meant I hopefully wouldn't get these calls from her asking about disc drives not working, why can't she do this, or that, or she needs a webcam, the list seems endless. I'd really like to visit socially instead of spending time trying to fix the PC.0

don't get the TT router, it'll be an awful huwaei thing. Pick up a decent D-Link 2640B or 2740B or Netgear DG834GT from ebay for £10-£15-ish (less if you're lucky) and use that. Both also work with DMT and/or Routerstats so you can monitor/tweak the line speed, quite possibly invaluable later if they have broadband problems
...oh, and pop Teamviewer onto whatever machine they have, then you can do an awful lot of troubleshooting from the comfort of your own pc desk, and then when you go round it'll already be sorted and you can socialise in peace - works for me with family......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
