Halifax claim rejected

Hello
Myself and Mr Fresian submitted a claim last year for PPI for a loan that Mr Fresian took out a number of years ago which had PPI attached.
He was never eligible to claim on it as he hadn't been in continuous employment for the required period prior to taking out the loan. The adviser amended the information held on the system to make it appear as though he was eligible.
I have received a letter today advising that because we've complained in the past that they won't investigate this loan again and are rejecting the claim.
Is there anything further I can do? We did complain a couple of years ago but the complaint was rejected and we (possibly stupidly) didn't go to the Ombudsman at that point.
All help gratefully received.

B*gger. There is nothing you can do i am afraid, you had the option to go FOS within 6 months after the first rejection,FOS wont entertain this now.
I suspected that this was the case, I'm just fizzing because I know that it was missold. Mr Fresian isn't too well a lot and he couldn't face going through FOS when the complaint was rejected before. Shame really as it would likely have been upheld.
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly though.0
