Finding out account details for a deceased relative.

Sorry if I should post this in the sticky, I just need a little help please.
My uncle passed away unexpectedly last November. He had no wife or children, but has two brothers. He didn't leave a will.
I said that I would try to sort out all of the paperwork, to save my Dad and my other uncle any further trouble and/or distress. It looks as though my uncle may have been in quite a bit of debt when he died, but the tricky thing I'm finding is that we've not been able to find much in the way of paperwork at his house, and what we have found is in a right state. I'm in the process of applying for letters of administration, and have notified as many of the companies who were chasing him as I can.
I'm struggling to find what bank accounts and credit cards he had, so I wondered if it was possible to get a credit report from somewhere like Equifax or Experian, which listed all accounts and debts.
Another complication is that it looks as though he paid into various different pension companies over the years, so I don't even know half of the financial ins and outs of his life, but that's a thread for another day!

Ok
I was checking the Lost Assets regsiter and one of the first articles to come up was MSE!

We found one very old life insurance policy that has more asthetic value than practical value.
The other thing you need to do is to advertise in the Gazette and give creditors time to claim against the estate. That insures you against any late claims against the estate. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Thank you, I'll look into that.0

You should get statements for everything in the course of time - just monitor his mail.
Unless he was online - probably not if he's that disorganised.0 -
Sorry to hear about your loss. You can order your uncle's credit report, if you have the legal authority to deal with his affairs, and it will reveal any open accounts we know about. Telling us about the death can also help prevent fraud. More details in our guide on bereavement here: http://www.experian.co.uk/downloads/consumer/creditCrossroads/bereavement.pdf

Thank you James - looks like I will have to wait until the letters of administration paperwork is finalised.0
