Ragtimeplayer wrote:I had a bad experience in that Boots today. The Sa who served me when I took a suncare item back told me the policy had now changed on refunds
I took a £5.50 item back without receipt that I won't use and only put £1.50 worth of items in my basket. She was adamant that I couldn't have a refund either in cash or on a giftcard!
She made me go and find something worth £4.00 or I would have lost the excess altogether.

bargain_hunter77 wrote:Hi - I don't want to cause alarm but I assume that the Boots card is exactly the same as the Tesco clubcard (ie collects all information about purchases made/copies of receipts etc)....someone on the tesco H&B got banned from Tesco as they had 'overused' the coupons.....do you think that alarm bells may be ringing at Boots HO when they see people have received 'free gifts' without buying the item (ie the MF bag etc??) ..... I'm not trying to scare but just want people to be aware that they know everything that we purchase.
If you're about to do a massive haul, simply don't hand over your AC. hi i went bootsing today and got some of the no 7 suncare shimmering lotionin yellow gold box. it is still going through on bogof although not marked on shelf- tried the three 4 1 glitch but did not think it was still working so i used my n0 7 parenting voucher for 5 pound free no 7 item and the no7 wrap went through for the 11.50 sun lotion- so it looks like the higher no 7 items are worth trying too with the parenting coupon I want to try the 14.50 hydro quench lotion when i get another one as there is a coupon inside the wrap for 250 points on this range also used mu coupon for a free disposable camera which also came with the parenting voucher on the bogof camera offer so nothing to pay for all that lovely stuff!:j I sometimes give myself admirable advice, but am incapable of taking it.0

Was in Boots in Hull today and found that the electric blankets are reduced to £29.99 for kingsize (was over £50), £24.99 for a double and I didn't take note of the single one. The advantage point machine is giving 1000 points coupons when you purchase the electric blankets. I did want a blanket anyway and these are good quality dual control ones that heat up in 10mins.
Kingsize Blanket 29.99
1000 points for buying blanket and 75 points coupon also out of the machine for spending over £10. Also got another £2.50 mens and womens voucher to spend at a later date.:A0 -
What an awful day at boots for me, I went clutching the last of my £2.50 vouchers and looking for the avent box at 50p but low and behold my local high street had a power-cut and boots and loads of other shops were closed!!! Wanted the avent set for my future grandson (due in July) BOTHER!!December 2011 Sesky Watch, strimmer, tv, hoover & steam cleaner. March 2012 Straw dogs blueray film.0

Gah, i'm not helping matters with spending my skincare vouchers... got the customary "haul" of wipes, shaving foam and a mag... then picked up a sarnie for lunch, and took advantage of the 342 on tights (2 of which were reduced, but SA typed in £1.25 instead of the squiggly £1.75 on labels!), so that got me a £6.xx spend... and i got another voucher :rotfl::rotfl:0
