LJ97 wrote:I'd watch out with the vouchers, I tried to sell some parenting club vouchers and the auction got pulled by ebay, then someone from Boots phoned me and told me if i did it again they'd cancel my parenting club membership AND my advantage card (which had over £300 in points), and they'd normally do that the first time someone sold their vouchers, but they wouldn't this time as I was such a good customer!
I think thats only for vouchers that are claimed under certain circumstances though...i.e by joining the parenting club. Vouchers that are acquired from a free gift or for spending ex amount of money in store are given without condition therefore its okay to sell them on.
Please someone correct me if I am wrong though (before Boots take away my card and stop me going bootsing..... OMG!!!!! I couldnt cope, seriously I couldnt!!)2008 gig list... Picked up some sanctuary stuff today on 342 - acm wouldn't give me any vouchers and had none from other sources.
However, there was a free gift bag offer with the 342 - it was a paper/card bag in maroon/brown with (I think) 'Indulge' embossed on the front. It is tied with a thick brown/maroon ribbon and has rope handles. Didn't come off at the till and was charged £2 - got it sorted though. SA knew about the offer and just refunded. The bags were in plastic holders attached to the shelf. Had a big sticker on them saying 3 for 2 and a free gift bag.
I also picked up a MF bag - there was one high up on a display (luckily I am quite tall). Popped a reduced eye-liner (not MF) in the basket for the OH just in case they questioned it. Didn't raise an eyebrow.
Only ended up with 181 points from a £18 spend. Got an extra 100 points for 3 packs of toothpaste that were on 342 and got triple points on a muffin (I thought this would triple my whole points awarded but only tripled the points for the muffin).
Still a beginner I think.

mrsw wrote:gosh I didn't know that. However,I have only ever sold the £5 off skincare vouchers, so they couldn't trace me.
How did they know it was you??
I have no idea, I'd like to know that myself! I didn't think ebay would be allowed to give out that kind of info.
I couldn't imagine life without my Boots card!0 -

No MF boxes or any other freebies in my boots and im sure their are no other mse'rs either.
The SA's are now asking me to go shopping with them on their breaks!!!!
I had a disagreement with one this morning about the botanics anti perspirant scanning with the vouchers, she said it doesnt,i say it does, she scans it and i get it for 49p!!!!!! (well free if you count the 100 points)
I got the mens deodrant free with £2.50 voucher & 100 points added on0 -

I was wondering too how they got your info. Your name, address and phone number if added one, only shows up at the end of a complete transaction. Would it be worth phoning boots customer service just to check on this. You wouldn't have to say who you are just that it's an enquiry. I also wouldn't have thought e-bay would give out this info?!!
Best of luck if you do.Official DFW Nerd Club Member no:219In the Court Of The Crimson KingI don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.Gary Larson0 -

All I can think of is that they got it because the vouchers actually did sell and the person paid before ebay cancelled the listing. This might be a bit far-fetched, but maybe Boots bought them to find out who it was that was selling them??
This all happened about 3 months ago, but if anyone is going to sell vouchers then I'd watch out for this kind of thing!0 -
joaniemerc wrote:Don't know if this is the right thread for this but was in my local (small branch) of Boots today when I asked Boots SA if she knew whether there was an advantage card machine in that branch (I have to admit that I have only recently acquired a card:o ) - she said no there wasn't one but would I like to earn 250 points. I said yes and she said all I had to do was to sign up for a new prescription service which will be linked with my doctor's surgery. So I did and was given 250 points there and then.:D
The SA was walking round the store with a clipboard - so if you spot one of these then nab yourself 250 points. Don't know if this is country-wide or not but might be worth asking at Pharmacy counters about it for the points.
This is mentioned in the Health Club mini magazines that I got the other day. If you sign up to their prescription service you get 250 points. You don't even have to use the service, just sign up to it !
Health club is worth joining, its free, you get a free eye test voucher, 10% off boots branded products if you're 60 or over and vouchers through the post for different offers. And also 250 points for the prescription service. :j0 -
I got a MF Box (loverly lip gloss)! Chickened out and bought face powder as well though - i did actually need it - Honest!
Also got
Trans 1
Botanics Wipes - £2.50 voucher
Shave Foam (again, mens voucher rubbish) £2.50 Voucher
Sanctuary Hand Lotion - 200 points. (manually added as discussion over its not skincare)
MF box
MF Face powder
Trans 2
Huggies Nappies - 300 points
Botanics Overnight hand cream - £2.50 Voucher
Shave Gel (Yup again) - £2.50 Voucher
Tried another MF Box, but SA said only free with MF product but it scanned free and she wouldnt let me have itI went bright red and gave in.
I am loving all this great make up. And i will never have to buy shaving foam ever again. However, have another voucher now, so any ideas what to buy apart from SHAVING foam on mens voucher?
Oh and they had loads to MF boxes in North Street Brighton if anyone is brave enough to front the sa's. Should have gone to Pharmacy Section and paid. Oh and i didnt get a mag either.
I must get tougher!
