Gasman2 http://www.boots.com/microsites/microsite_homepage.jsp?contentId=2915&wblinktype=TN&wblinktype=TNand you can't compare the advantage card to tesco's clubcard
  • I was in Boots ( Gallowtree Gate, Leicester) this morning, none of the advantage card machines were working, staff very unhelpfull.

When I got home, I phoned customer services to complain, the very nice man gave me 500 points as compensation.

If there are any other moneysavers out there in Leicester it might be worth a quick phone call to head office.

Not really got a clue what all you "Bootsers" get up to - or why - but it's obviously worthwhile - so can someone please explain or point me towards a post that makes it all clear.

I've read the posts at the start of this thread and can see the attraction of getting extra points etc - BUT - what do you do with your points and how much are they worth? Are they at all like Tesco points, where they're worth 4x as much if spent elsewhere, or can you only use them to fund purchases at boots?

If the latter, presumably it is only worth building up a big "points bank" if you regularly buy stuff from Boots?

    Thanks

Some of the Boots stores sell electric stuff and even mobile phones! I treated myself to an ipod last year and now I'm saving up for a new phone.

They have actually all been out of order since Monday afternoon! :o There were two "working" - one ate my card and the other wasn't printing vouchers, so the SAs added Out of Order signs to them.

    Used my voucher today.
    Got reduced sanctuary face wipes,
    Nivea shaving foam,
Paid 19p and got 200 points with the voucher from ACM.
Very pleased ,though my family think I'm sad.
    Can't think why!

re my query about the botanics lip balm.i rang the store just now and they DO sell it but it's out of stock ( only a v small section) and they don't know when it's in again.i'll have to try on Fri
  • i was at the sauchiehall branch in glasgow earlier - tried a reduced santury bodywash which was £2.50 with the 200 points voucher from the ac machine but noticed it hadnt worked when i got my receipt. tried saying i didnt want it as i didnt get the points. but she was having none of it so will have to exchange it at a diff store later today. she said the points wouldnt have worked as it was reduced - eh why not!??can any1 shed any light on this please!? also she didnt give me back my 200 points voucher, i tried lifting it but she said she had to keep it as shd scanned it i was like well why cause it didnt exactly give me any points now did it! think its worth emailling customer services? i might have been able to use it on a different item.

Anyway i dont think i can use any of my 200 point sanctury vouchers or the 2.50 womens voucher on sanctury stuff so think ill save my efforts with the skincare voucher until i receive the 100 points botanics vouchers people are kindly sending me/ that iv swapped for on another forum.

she wouldnt let me have a MF box ovcourse, said you had to buy 2 max factor products - i heard someone in there yesterday say u had to spend £15, what a load of drivel!!!! and she mucked up my 100 points on colds medicines until i told her she had to put them thro separately (had 2 sets)

Just wondering if there are any MSE regulars in my area - Sutton, Surrey?

It gets a little lonely Bootsing on my own sometimes.

Hi, does anyone have the email address for customer services for Boots? The only ones I can see on their website seem to be for enquiries relating to the boots.com website? Thanks in advance
