  • Well, not been bootsing since the 6 for 1 on suncream, but ventured to Deepdale today and I must be out of practice. Only got the Smile toothpaste x 3 with 100pts from machine. Couldn't see any MF boxes anywhere though - has anyone seen these at Deepdale? Oh, and couldn't work out any other bargains with my two assistants nattering me (ages 3 and 6).

Oh, also mil kept saying in a loud voice "what are you looking for?" as I tried to suss stuff out so gave up in the end!!

Hi Kippygirl there are a few MF boxes left in the fishergate store got one this am and took it with deodrant to the pharmacy till - no problem. They had the nail varnish as well but have put price on the bottom of them so left them. Did not see any brushes but then was not hanging around in case MF assistant spotted me with the MF box!! So if you can pop into the city you should get a MF box.

I have two mens vouchers and 1 womans voucher left. Hubby doesn't use shaving foam, and everything else is shaving this or that. Will just leave it in store. Hope to get the lip balm or another botanics wipes next time I'm in!

Does anyone remember the contents of the 'change one thing' booklets and the expiry dates? I know they are around the house somewhere, but I don't want to start the mad hunt if they've expired already!

You can get Botanics Deoderant with the mens skincare voucher. Nice to have a change from Shave Foam. Also just noticed last night, the Botanics wipes only have a shelf life of 3 months. It would take me longer than that to get through all mine, gave half to daughter. Also have some Nivea ones (12 months shelflife) but best of all Johnstons (Tesco) 2 years shelf life!

I have the same experience except the person saying " what are you looking for ? " in a loud voice is 36, and he usaully adds " are we going now ?" too :D its very annoying !! ( but I bet yours are cuter than mine )
The MF boxes arent that common so I wouldnt bother about not seeing any as a few of us havent got any.
    Welcome back !! :T

I think <-- I just had a strangely successful boots purchase.

    I got :

    Soltan Tan Mousse 6.99
    Soltan Tan Starter Kit 4.99
    Garnier Face Masks X 2 2.58
No 7 hydra quench day cream 14.50
    no 7 highlighting concealer 11.00

So the full total (without any discounts should have been: £37 ?

I used my £2.50 skincare voucher for the face masks, and a 250 points voucher for the no 7 day cream, the soltan is also half price...

So with that it came to £32.00 + 263 points

Anyway... I thought it sounded expensive still (on the shelf the no 7 day cream was infront of a £7.50 sel...

I went into another store (I had left the first one before i really thought about it) and asked if they could check the price... it was £14.50 so they offered me a refund.

Which means once the refund goes onto my card i would have spent £17.50 plus I got the no 7 wrap and on the refund it hasn't deducted the 250 points it gave me.

It's all very confusing, but I think I did ok there :S

p.s. Is it just me that feels like a criminal when I buy things in boots now :(?

Just got back from boots romford, asked about returning my MF lipgloss (bought it, opened it when I got home, and it had pink lipgloss all over it!). It was really busy, but the girl at the Lancome counter said they should refund it (and i had a free box with it so may return it, then rebuy another shade and try and get another box!). Found 2 double vouchers, left another 2 there, got some 8p facemasks, still got 20 single vouchers to use, so will stock up heavily on botanics stuff tomorrow :)

    Cool! Post 1000!

If you can get to Southport, there were about 4 or 5 left, on the MF counter. I went today and got another one, no Max Factor SA, got a few other bits, including the Avent starter packs for 50p, on 342 on folic acid I needed, and to spend my skincare vouchers.

Thankyou to whoever found that the Botanics deodrant goes thru on the mens vouchers, as hubby has 3 lots shaving foam/gel now, so he is n ow stocked up on the botanics deodrant. They still had quite a few H&B mags left of Jan/Feb, no new ones yet, and I wanted to get a few for the 100 points coupon, but had my little one with me moaning his legs were tired and that he wanted a wee, and that he was bored so I had to try and keep it reasonably quick, so missed out on £3 of points!!

Thankyou also to whoever mentioned, a few pages back (I did press thankyou button I think, at the time of reading this morn, but I will go back and check!!) about the Nivea Visage for the womans vouchers, I picked up facial wash just put 49p to it, cleanser, put 69p to it I think, and the toner, put about 80p to it I think, already have the botonics wipes and 2 lots of lipbalm, didnt fancy any more. I did look for the Garnier face masks someone had mentioned, pack of 2 for £1.29, but an empty carton stood in its place, so I guess other MSEs beaten me to it!!

Overall, I worked out, over last 2 days, I have spent £32 and received £85 worth of goods and Max factor free gift and No7 Wrap, and received £6 back in points. (like I say, I could have gotten another £3 worth had my little one been more patient, but never mind!!) Great couple of Hauls. Bring on the next load of Promos!!:T

  • Managed to get a men's micro dermabrasion kit for £5 minus the £2.50 mens voucher.

This should be £12.50, and comes in a box, one bottle of face exfoliator and one bottle of moisturiser. They let it go through at £5 because the SEL was on at £5 (this was the previous SEL & price for the mens botanics face scrub). Look out for these, might be worth seeing if any other stores have done the same?!

It's lovely stuff - not a bad thing to get for £2.50! It will scan at £12.50 so argue the point!

    Happy Bootsing! :D

  • Hiya fellow bootsers , please could someone describe what the Boots no 7 weekend bag looks like.....I would be really grateful for a link - if there is one.
I assume that this would be free with the £5/£16 parenting voucher(due to it having the same barcodes)??

Also have people who bought the facial sauna found it to be a useful product - would you recommend it?? - would love to hear peoples experience with it. Many thanks!!XX
