Dorothy Perkins and Home Delivery Network

Ugh!!!

Trust Arcadia to think of profits before customer service. I made an order with Dotty Ps over a week ago and was meant to receive my goods on Thursday.

Zoom (Arcadia) sent me an email with a tracking number for Home Delivery Network so I could track online. Big mistake for HDN! Every day I have checked their delivery status and every day they have failed to deliver. First of all the excuses were that nobody was in (I was off sick on Thursday and OH was in on Friday, I was in on Saturday) and then today it just seems as though they gave up! The item was put on the van today, but 'failed too deliver' come 2om this afternoon.

I called Arcadia customer services on Saturday and they made my item a priority delivery with HDN... obviously not that much a 'priority' as it once again didn't turn up!

Will be calling Arcadia customer services again tomorrow, wasting my half term time when I could be doing something more constructive with my time!!

Update... supposedly they delivered my package at 8pm last night! Without a signature, without ringing my doorbell, and without entering my apartment complex! Obviously there's some delivery driver with my £100 worth of goods somewhere.

I have been told by other people that they were really reliable, but never again will I use them!!

To be honest I have had no problem with Home Delivery Network either - the drivers I have dealt with have always been friendly and helpful

Update: I finally received my package on Wednesday... no apologies from the delivery driver or anything. It was open, and luckily after checking everything i there, all of my order *was* there.

Am writing a stern letter to Dorothy Perkins and HDN so that this delivery driver doesn't get away with what they were trying to do!!

Perhaps its an area thing..... I have nothing but trouble with Home Delivery Network. Never have they delivered on time and in fact once they left my goods in a 3/4 full wheelie bin (so the driver said) on the day the bins got emptied.
I tremble when I use a company and find its HDN doing the delivery.
