Has anyone reclaim PPI from their employer?

Sounds a stupid question, but has anyone ever tried to reclaim PPI from a company they work for?
You can understand why I would be reticent about putting a claim against the bank I work for, but here's the thing. I took a credit card with them in 2008, and the conversation around credit card insurance went like this;
"Do you want insurance?"
"Not sure"
"You should really, I suppose"
"Well, OK then..."
Now I had only just started my job with this company at the time, and worked in Home Insurance so wasn't familiar with the branch network. But, I get sick pay and expenses on death, so the policy is 2/3rds redundant and had cost me a few quid over the years. Ordinarily, I have a decent claim.
However, it's OK getting some money back if I then get sacked. What would you do???? :question:

Used to work for the Halifax; now works for another bank. Any comments are my opinion or suggestion, not a recommendation!
