Hi folks,

Just a quick note to update you on the change to the Forum masthead that was due today (Monday).

It's getting a little late in the day to launch it now and there a still a few niggling issues to overcome so we're pushing it back until tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

Thanks for bearing with us.

No there were just some glitches - so we took are time to improve it - the chaps have worked very hard. The forum code interferes with a lot of styling.

Why all the wasted space at the sides?

Seems to have just switched over.

if this is how it's going to be I don't like it. Previously I had a full size web page. Now I have the forums squuezed into a section in the middle with a whole lot of empty space either side.

Is this how it's meant to be?

    Sorry MSE - needs fixing.

Another one here for the narrow content display. On a large monitor = 50% blank space on my screen! Please change it back...

why have they used a fixed width, the old version of full width was much better use of the screen. I thought web designers stopped using fixed widths back in 2006 lol

Mine has just changed over and I don't like it at all.

It's all squished into the middle of the screen and I have just blank space either side.

Seems to be a step back to me. :(
