Think I have been scammed?

Hi everyone
I think I've been scammed, need advice. First off, please don't berate me for having done this, have done plenty of that myself. I put an ad on Gumtree for wanted gig tickets (not The Wanted, I mean there were tickets I wanted) and was contacted by a guy willing to sell. Said he now had commitments meaning he couldn't attend. Seemed very genuine but didn't have paypal. He provided his bank details and yes, I sent the money. He replied and said he would send the tickets within the next 2 days. I paid on Wednesday and still haven't recieved them (was meant to be special delivery). Last I heard from him was Friday Evening after I texted (didn't pick up the phone) to say I was getting anxious and when would he send them. He replied he'd do it by 2pm Saturday and send the tracking number.
I think it's fairly obvious I've been scammed and I know well enough I shouldn't have sent the money - live and learn I guess. The amount was 'only' £45 so not loads to put me out of pocket but its the principle. Can I do anything about this? I have his name, bank account and sort code, and obviously mobile number. When I called, he had his voicemail which is automated but he speaks his name, so that bit, at least, is real.
What can I do? Have since found tickets elsewhere but still a bit miffed.
Thanks

Gumtree advocates you should do these things face to face, there are just too many scammers out there.
Take this as a cheap lesson, people have been shafted for tens of thousands this way. Not worth taking any action for only £45. You could threaten him with small claims.

Go on 192.com and see if you can find out where he lives. Get one of those shewee things. Drill a hole in the bottom, attach a length of rubber tubing and go round and wee through his letterbox. Have a few pints first to be sure of an impressive volume. Or eat asparagus. That stinks."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

This is theft. Call the police. You have his bank details, his phone number and proof of emails saying he was sending it RD.
Theft is theft.
You may also find out that he is a regular scammer and does it to loads of peopleOfficial DFW nerd no 551 - proud to be dealing with my debts

Nationwide - £5745, Overdraft - £350,
Debts as of January 2015

If you do call the police DO NOT use 999 - it's for emergencies only
You will be able to get your local police station number from google.
I doubt they will do much to be honest but no harm in reporting this guy. It could be a genuine error but the payment method etc scream scam.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
