Possible phone scam?♠

I had a very strange phone call earlier today from a guy with what sounded like a local accent.
He asked for me by name and said he dealt with Insurance Groups all around the UK.
When I asked him what my insurance group is he hung up on me.
The call was withheld.
Is this a scam that's going around? I must say it's rather unsettled me, wish I hadn't answered the phone now.

It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted
