It will have absolutely zero bass.

Ask yourself - would you buy a HTS for the orig. price of £99-99? Of course you wouldn't . . . cos it's junk

but at 50W RMS total would you really have to "turn it right up to be audible"? Really??? Really????? For a budget conscious family or a lone XBox/PS3 user it would surely still be an huge improvement on the average LCD/LED TV or monitor sound for a reasonably small cost.

Yes really, you would have to turn it up somewhere near max to gain any sensible increase in sound, then the clarity becomes less than junk, like old car speakers that give off a tinny, poppy sound that gives you a headache after a while.
This is not snobbery, it is true.
This kit is junk, HOWEVER, if you have nothing or something (unbelievably) worse then it MAY be an improvement.
(no matter how many question marks you want to use to get your point across ;) )
Honestly, it's a pile of toss and is really best avoided.

  • I loved this comment from another Bargain forum.

"save a further £28 on this and buy some yogurt ..use the empty pots next to tv speakers...it`s gonna sound the same as this..."

When you watch a film, and there's an explosion, do you want it to sound like
    a) An explosion
    b) A quiet fart?
You'll get b) with this system. I haven't personally heard it, and I don't want to. I've never tasted tripe before, but I'm sure it doesn't taste like bacon! I know this is a money saving site, but aren't your ears worth more than £30? Cheap does not equal good value.
