Stoneacre Group
Does anyone know to who or where I can complain about the Stoneacre Group? The actual branch we got the car from are useless and it's always "give us half an hour and we'll call you back". Which they never do.
And then you have head office who feed you "we'll get in touch with the branch and get back to you with answers". Again, which they never do.
We've had so many problems with them I don't know where to turn.
We bought a car on a scheme similar to the "Just Add Fuel" deal - which includes free 12 month insurance, lifetime servicing, MOT, 12 months free valets, 12 months tax and free mats.
Firstly, we took the car away on a 7 day free driveaway insurance policy and were given a number to ring in 7 days in order to take out the full insurance. We were told the quote was £1070 and was for 12 months.
We were also told to call back to the garage 2 days later to pick up the cheque for the insurance, the free mats, spare key and log book. When we called back there was nothing waiting for us and we were told they'd be in touch when we could pick it all up.
Cutting a long story short - the cheque took 10 days to arrive - by which time I'd had to pay for the insurance out of my own money because the 7 days had finished.
However the £1070 quote was only for 10 months insurance. So with the cheque cashed I'd actually ended up paying £300 out of my own pocket for the so called "12 months FREE insurance".
Secondly, we are still waiting for the log book, spare key and the manual for the car nearly 2 months later. We've been fobbed off left, right and centre. The previous owner supposedly has everything we need and Stoneacre supposedly know where she lives - but yet we've got nothing.
Thirdly, on top of all of this, the car was taken in for one of those "free valets" they offer for 12 months. The car inside wasn't touched. The outside sprayed with a hosepipe. And big scratch the full length of the passenger window for good measure. When we picked the car up we were told that the next available appointment would be in 2 months! I don't think we'll be bothering taking it back, for some reason...
I could go on and on and on with further problems we've had with them but I'll stop ranting now!
Is there anyone who can point me in the direction of where I can make a complaint?
Sorry about the rant!
