Clean Install Vista From an Upgrade Disc

You can't normally do a clean install of an OS from an upgrade disc, but this is possible with Vista. You have to install Vista in a different way, but this works.

Just for the record, there's no such thing as an upgrade disc. It is the same software. The only difference is that the upgrade install looks for an existing version of Windows residing somewhere on your hard drive, it doesn't even have to be installed ... just the files left in a folder will do. Used to do this for Windows 95 to 98!0
