British Gas cold callers

About 15 months ago I went through a case of identity theft whereby someone was setting up accounts for various things in my name at an old address where I used to live (my parent's house). They were using my name and address, but someone else's bank details, phone number, etc. It is thought that it was a scam to do with someone trying to either get cashback, or possibly a more serious case where they were trying to build up to something bigger.

Anyway one of the results was that my parent's electricity supply was transferred to British Gas. It all got undone and fixed in the end, but I am now getting calls from British Gas every single day and they go something like this:

"Remember how you used to be with us for many years at [parent's address]? We were just wondering if you'd consider coming back to us?" :rotfl:

I normally ignore the call but today I answered, and got that same line again. When I explained the situation, the person this time had the cheek to actually ask if I'd consider switching to them anyway!!!

I've asked for them to stop calling but it makes no difference.

British Gas you are utterly disgusting.

Get yourself on the tps list, or next time ask for confirmation in writing that you have been removed from the database. Are they not offering a good deal though?
