Barclays / Woowich Claim

I have had a couple of Barclays/Woolwich mortgages and a Secured Loan in recent years. I always take out PPI insurance. However after reading some of the things on here about sick pay I wonder if I too have a claim?
My contract of employment says my employer will pay upto 13 weeks full pay for sickness/accident after such time continued payments are at the MD's descresion. Staff who are genuinely ill or injured at my place of work have always been paid sick pay. Sometimes upto a year.
Do you think I have a case for miss selling as I was never asked about my company's sickness/accident policy??
Any advice from someone in a similar circumstance would be greatly appreciated.

No. You only get 13 weeks sick pay and most PPI plans are 4-13 weeks in deferment. So, there is either no overlap or very little. For the sick pay argument to work there has to be significant overlap. i.e. 6 months full, 6 months half. In that case, a PPI would never pay out. In your case, a PPI would pay out. It may just have to wait a month or two at most.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
