Price comparison for non-online accounts
Hi I am trying to get my parents onto a better deal for their gas and Electricity, they are currently on a Standard energy smart meter with B.G .They don't have a computer so managing the account online is a no no for them and to be honest they would prefer a paper bill anyway, how can I do a "non-online" comparison? Thanks in advance.

Interesting question! I am in a similar situation with my parents. I know Martin's advice in the past has been to use a comparison site and set them up with an online supply using a hotmail (or similar) email address but that means I would have the responsibilty of getting the email and making sure the meter readings are done etc. I don't mind doing that but they would rather be independant and still get their bill by post. Be interesting to see if anyone has any ideas.0 -
Just use a comparison site as normal but select the cheapest online tariff from the results.0

You can still 'compare' online, but pick a tariff which offers paper bills.
However the reality is that most of the cheapest tariffs (online discount) require online billing and monthly fixed DD payments; deselecting these options will screen out many of the cheaper tariffs.
Why can't you just use your own email address to register and print them out the bill every quarter?
Staying on Standard tariff is just throwing money away, as it's the most expensive. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
