Hi,
Had my atos medical on jan 3rd and have not heard yet whether I have passed or failed. However have received letter from local JC+ today with an appt for a personal adviser interview next week. It has a BIG stamp on it saying " failure to attend this interview may affect your benefit" Does anyone know if this mean I have passed & been put into the WRAG? I know last time I had to attend the WFI's is this the same sort of thing? TIA
ps have tried to ring them but an hour later still unable to get through!

It doesn't mean either.
It may mean no decision has been made, or it may mean a decision has been made.
You'd need to phone them.0 -
My OH had an interview with a "personal" adviser before the ATOS medical, basically they thrust a remploy leaflet in her hand and sent he ron her way. She had her ATOS medical at the beginning of Dec. She never heard any thing from them except for a letter to state that they have paid £xxx into her account and now she finds that her fortnightly payments are in the region of £200. No letter or anything to explain their decision or what has been decided. Yet she received a 3 page letter explaining all about the Christmas bonus.
Weird how they work.0 -
I had the same thing happen to me when I had my reassessment.
When I saw the advisor he was very surprised I hadn't recieved a letter from the DWP as his records showed that I had been granted ESA for a further 12 months to continue in the WRAG.
I know a lot of people find the interviews with the advisor a waste of time, often either due to the attitude of the advisor or the attitude of the claimant but I found mine to be useful. We had a discussion about how I was feeling and what was going on in terms of treatment/recovery. Then chatted about possible courses, volunteering opportunities, temp working etc... to give me a feel of what help is available and what I was able to try to do without running the risk of losing my ESA completely until I felt ready to work .
It generally made me feel more reassured and less worried about committing benefit fraud as I'd started to improve and wanted to try to get back to normal and try volunteering/studying but didn't want to do it too soon and risk relapsing and having to go through the hassle of reapplying for ESA.0 -

I would like to inform people that when seeing the Advisor at the Job centre you do not have to discuss your situation with an advisor of the opposite sex if your problems may be of a personal nature and every one has the right to ask for their interview to be conducted in private.0
