Bank Charges reclaim submitted, no resolution

Dear All,
Hopefully someone else is having the same problem or knows a way of speeding things up.

I've submitted a Bank Charges Reclaim as per CLICKY about 3 years ago. I've been hassled no-end by debt collectors etc for the balance ever since. (Of which I'm absolutely not paying until some resolution has been agreed)

Ever since, I've been re-writing to them to remind them of the outstanding dispute, approximately every 6-8 months.

The usual letter I get in response is the 'Thanks for your letter, we're dealing with it' rubbish.

My latest letter is, for all intents and purposed, the same letter I've been getting in response to my reclaim.

Is there anything I can do to either speed the process up or get a better explanation of their delays etc?

Thanks
MisterD

What is the basis of your claim?
Are you in financial hardship now?
  • Yes
Basis of the claim was the account was closed 8 years ago.
There was an overdraft balance which was paid off in cash in the branch.
The person dealing with the account closure did not take into consideration any interest accrued on the balance at the time of closure.

The account is now accruing charges on charges and has been since.

Hardship, of course. The bank claims I owe it, yet refuse to provide the bank statements and proof as requested and there's no way I can afford to pay it back.
