Mamas&Papas Car seat return - no receipt?

Hi,

I have been given a car seat from mamas and papas (cybex aton) as a gift however when I opened it I found that there there is a small hole in the hood where the sowing seems to have come apart.

The car seat is completely unused as my baby has not even been born yet - not a scratch or mark on it and still has all the tags attached, however I do not have a receipt as it was a gift.

How possible is it for me to get an exchange for a non-faulty item? I have looked at sowing the hole up myself however the hood is made of a strange material and I would be worried about making it worse to be honest.

Could you ask for the receipt from who bought it for you?

Unfortunately the right to repair or exchange is with the person who bought it, so you'd have to ask them for a receipt or to return it for you.
