Lloyds TSB - Where's best to send a claim?

Options
Hiya,

So I've done the first part and have got my list of charges compiled and a hardship letter ready to go... now where do I send them?!

I attempted a claim a while back and gave up because the letter kept getting bounced back undelivered!

I've heard of people sending via email to the CEO of Lloyds?

Who's had success and where did they send their claims?

Thanks for your help!

thanks :) i emailed him and just received a letter today saying theyve received my complaint and are sorry to hear that i need to complain. it says they understand that id like a refund of the charges and theyll get back to me asap.

this is good right? ive seen plenty of people receiving "no" letters? seems theyre considering mine - anyone else had this reply?

    thanks

Nothing can be inferred. It is just the acknowledgement email which should repeat back to you what they interpret your complaint to be. As it is. They wont reject your complaint at that stage unless it was something daft like you not liking the colour of their carpet in the branch.

This is quite interesting. I'd really like to know the success rate for contacting the CEO's route. Nothing like going straight to the heart of the matter. Good luck

No different. The CEO doesnt read those emails/letters. The address will be filtered by a team who send the email on to the correct departments to look at.

Yep i'd have been surprised if the CEO actually read it! seems to have gotten through though. Just wasn't worth sending it through post again after the hassle i had before. It bounced back about 2 months after I sent it!

Hoya - so I've received a letter this morning offering £1160 of the original £3190 (inc interest)... which is amazing as it pays off my current lloyds collections account and more... but only covers charges from Jan 2009 to present. The charges go back to May 07, totalling £2566 without interest. If I contacted them again and asked for the remaing £1450 or so - how best to do this? by phone? or is it best to just leave it at that? It's a success but I cant help thinking they still have half my money!

I just rang and spoke to someone querying the charges refund and she stated that it appeared that the main problems began in 2009 and so charges before that would not be refunded. I guess I'll just leave it now. I can close the account and forget about it :) by the way the letter today began 'Thank you for taking the time to contact our Chief Executive Antonio Horla-Osorio..." and my letter was sent 23rd Jan. It is now 3rd Feb. Thats pretty quick!!
Thanks for all your help guys!

The bank decides how far back it goes. Some only go back 6 months. Others more. You have no entitlement to any of this money. It is a goodwill gesture. By all means ask them but dont assume it is your money.
