When I was doing Vinyls (And Dear god that took forever with 250 (double sided too I might Add) I used Audacity. Another shout for Audacity.0

Take a look at mp3DirectCut which can do cuts, copy and paste without re-encoding the file.

Got it!
I used "WinAVI All In One Convertor" to re-save the 12 individual mp3s into one continual 47 minute long mp3 track
Just experimenting now with mp3DirectCut (thanks!) to try and "insert/mark" time points

If I understand what you're trying to do correctly, I have to ask if it's even possible? Even if you can insert cue points into an mp3, how do you jump from one to another?
I think what you are trying to achieve is possibly better done by "mp3 wrapping" - this combines your individual mp3s into an album while maintaining the individual track identity, but not all mp3 players can cope with them and I'm not convinced there would be any benefit over just having the individual files.
Keep us informed; genuinely interested in your findings.I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0 -
LOL.
I haven't got the foggiest what I'm doing! I even just accidentally deleted my entire music folder into the Recycle Bin :rotfl:
Good job I noticed and hadn't run Cr_p Cleaner!!!!!!
All I have managed to do since the last post is convert the 47 minute long .mp3 file in to a 47 minute long .wma file that takes up half the space on my mp3 player!!!
:T :rotfl:
How embarrassing!
This is too much stress believe me.
I know there is a way, just not tonight LOL..0 -
Well, I now have 12 mp3 tracks that play smoothly one after another with no gaps or annoying pops between!
I was hoping for just the one long mp3, but having 12 separate ones that work will do for me!
The point being is they now play as if it were one long track
What an experiment this has been!
Thanks to all those who contributed

Ha ha!
That joyous feeling didn't last long, when I played the mp3s on my mp3 player there was a gap and little pop between each one
:wall:
I'll just graciously accept defeat on this one. Thanks again everyone!.0
