You need to inform HMRC that you are self employed, and get set up to pay class 2 and 4 NICs

I want to ask, in this case I will be claiming Maternity Allowance in the next few months. I have been working, but now I am leaving work to run a small business, we may not make anything, but I need to keep my NI paid so that I can claim MA.
Do you know if I need to earn a certain amount each week, or can I just deal with the total earnings at the end of year on the tax return?
Many Thanks.0
