Hi hope you can help ive started to reclaim money through gladstone brooks who have proven themselves useless sending me other peoples letters and sending letters in my name with somebody elses details on them??
Anyway ive reclaimed some money from hsbc which was pretty straight forward without glastone brookes help and now im persuing Nemo now they have sent me a letter (after gb giving them somebody elses details and my name + policy number on it) the letter basically says that the finance was through a broker Welcome finance who have since ceased trading and im to contact the financial services compensation scheme now do i contact the fscs or are they just blowing smoke up my ....?

That is correct, whoever set up and sold you the account are the ones you pursue, so in your case even though the lender were Nemo and it was mainly their paperwork, the broker who arranged it were Welcome Finance.
If you taken out the loan Jan 14th 2005 onwards, you can of course make a reclaim through the FSCS.
The link below is further info to the FSCS and details of Welcome and how to make the reclaim, they will arrange to send you the form and when you complete the form, send them copies of the paperwork, so in your case even though Nemo's paperwork, they will still have those details to work from, and if you do have any paperwork via Welcome finance send copies of them also.
