Greenhouse Recommend

Hi,

I am planning on buying a greenhouse from the greenhouse people website but wondered would i be better buying a slightly smaller one with more vents or a larger one with less vents. It gets costly when you want both.

I'd say get as big as you can afford.

Re vents, where abouts do you live, will the greenhouse be in direct sun all day, and what do you hope to grow?

Mine are 8 x 6ft, with only one roof vent, but I leave the door open in the heat of summer.

Yes, as Sally says buy as big as you afford. You'll always fill it up. The next question of course is what material, horticulutural or toughened glass or polycarbonate?

Buy a larger one and add vents later. As the other posters have said, you will always fill it, however big it is.

I live in the North West and yes it will be in direct sun all day (if we get any :-))

Hope to grow tomatoes, chilli, peppers, cucumber to start with.

    I am deciding between an 8 x 10 or a 6 x 10 one.

I think I will be going for toughened glass as I read polycarbonate is a bit weaker and it can get a bit windy sometimes.

I'd join everyone else and say get the biggest you can, you'll soon fill it.
I got polycarbonate 'cos i live a corner house and was worried the kids from the nearby school would throw bricks over the fence and smash it, i thought the poly would be stronger. But a few came out in the recent winds, although they didn't break.
