    I get
    Secure browsing is not supported

This application does not yet support secure browsing (HTTPS). Learn More

I generally don't try anything else. What should I do to get the game? Is it safe?

You can either turn off secure browsing via Account Settings ➔ Security and turning off the secure browsing option there, or if you don't feel confident to do that, give this a miss like I will (I actually won a Samsung 3D Blu-Ray home cinema system not too long ago). Unfortunately the application maker didn't account for those who use secure browsing or thought that too few people use it and didn't enable it.

People put too much reliance on HTTPS browsing. It doesn't protect you from anything and just because a site doesn't use it, doesn't mean it's unsafe.

Go ahead, use it. You're not going to be entering your bank details or anything so the fact it's not HTTPS doesn't matter. Just because a site is HTTPS, doesn't mean they couldn't give you a virus if they were hacked.

People think a secure connection 'protects' them in some way - it doesn't. It just means the data sent from you to the website is safer from prying eyes than a normal site. If you're browsing Facebook with an HTTPS connection, you can still be fooled into visiting a dodgy site or falling for some survey scam.

Yes it does, and specifically on Facebook . Google "Firesheep" which was marvellous at allowing anyone browsing on a hotspot to login as anyone else not using https on that hotspot....and it worked brilliantly too, I tried it. It's not supported by the latest FF browser in that easy form but others do that work the same way. Firesheep required zero ability to use as it was a FF extension ...very dangerous in the wrong hands.
