Cheap Window Coverings

Options
OK so we have moved into a house with a HUGE kitchen window - it is also fairly damp - our landlord is looking at getting the windows replaced at some point fairly soon. I need some ideas for cheap window coverings which don't look rubbish and also preferably nothing fabric like curtains or roller blinds because with the damp they will just go mouldy. I looked at some venecian blinds but for the size we need you're looking at £85 and we can't afford that at the mo. Any ideas anyone?

try freecycle for net curtains. wash them regular and they will be ok until you get a new window.
charity shops are pretty good for curtains too.
    Get some gorm.
