I would take a look around at different hosting providers to start off with.
I setup a friends online store not so long ago was easy, Purchased hosting from zigzaghosting.co.uk they offered the most features I needed like free domain name and free SSL Certificates which you need to secure the checking out part.
I used cpanel to 1 click install the Open source ecommerce (cubecart we decided to use)
and all we had to do then was add products to it and delivery. prices ect0 -
google have a free website design - i can't get the link to work but if you search for gbbo.co.uk
it is for small business and you can set up paypal sales etc0 -

Well you would disagree as it was your suggestion lol.
Weebly, wix, yolasite and plenty of other sites like that are limited, not very user friendly, usually lack any sort of decent SEO and usually have a basic set of templates meaning your site just looks like everyone elses. Those that include the hosting are unreliable which for a business isn't a great image to present.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
Thanks for that i have managed to get a domain name & setup a website on weebly i understand this isnt great for a busy business but as i said at the minute its very experimental, i am looking at doing a special offer through my local newspaper to direct people to my webpage to get a few sales but i just wanted to check how many people would it hold without it crashing ? how many people would be too many with this type of hosting ? When do i know when to up my hosting & are you able to upgrade this on weebly ?
Thanks x0 -
Best of luck.
With regards to hosting it would depend on what the details are but if you get a couple hundred hits you hit your limits quite quickly. IF the site looks poor you won't turn those hits into sales so the time spent on the site will be wasted and the money on the advert will be wasted. Your free site could end up costing a small fortune.
Money saving BTW isn't always about spending the least.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0
