Made an Error with 1st Letter Charges!!!

My friend has copied the 1st letter to send to his bank perfectly but the amount he has added up and asked for includes Overdraft Interest Fees and also Account Charges, which as explained and I know can not be claimed. Will this affect his case at all?? Im just thinking that if it goes to court then they present to the court that he is trying to claim for fees he is not entitled to they may make it null and void?? As I dont think the bank will be as kind to say, "well your not entitled to some of these charges but we will pay the others". Dont think they will go out of there way to help him. So just after advice as to what to do?? Thanks
Barrie
