in Credit cards
Hi all
I currently have £800 limit on Capital One Platinum card and also a Vanquis £550 limit, is there a credit card company i could transfer these balances to as you maybe be aware that the apr is horrnedous... I have 1 ccj on my file and a settled IVA with 3 defaults totalling £520...
Any advice will be appreciated or is it a case off just paying them off and getting an increase on the limits or get rid altogether ?
cheers:beer:

How old is the CCJ and IVA? and how old are the defaults? You are unlikely to get any mainstream credit until these have 'dropped off' your credit report (6 years). However, if your adverse credit is say 4 or 5 years old you may get a creation card though you would be lucky. Creation do 0% deals.0

Hi thanks for reply
the IVA is 4 year old SETTLED and the CCJ is also 4 year old and the 3 defaults all to leave my report in the next 12 months....creditcardhelp11 wrote: »How old is the CCJ and IVA? and how old are the defaults? Well some people have said they were accepted by creation with 4 year old adverse credit. However, with the numerous issues on your credit report I think you would be best until the adverse credit has gone. Saying that unless you want to apply for other credit soon (within 6 months) you could apply for the sygma silver card.0

I know there are discharged bankrupts on this site that have had multiple creation cards with good limits but got the feeling from other posts ive read that their criteria has tightened more recently0 -
ive just visited the Creation site and it does state what you mentioned - no arrears, CCJs, bankrupcies and IVAs ???0

Its not clear if its in last 6 years or less tho. Barclaycard only count ccjs if within last 5 years. The effect of adverse data dilutes over time0

I sent a letter about all charges to vanquis 7 days ago and recieved a reply today and that their looking into it !!!
Lets see if it laughing stock or not lol0 -
Wait for the adverse info to drop of your credit file and as long as C1 and Vanquish are up to date, you'll get good mainstream deals.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.
