Thank you for all the lovely messages......I'm going to print them all out to keep.
I am indeed cheesily happy....although absolutely terrified of losing the ring - it still feels very strange, but I'm told one gets used to them very quickly. Ball & chain dressed up in a pretty blue box? :rotfl: :rotfl:
Hypno - thanks for the strawbs - they were deeeelish!
Lyns - If you think £24K was bad, I nearly gave OH a heart attack when we caught a glimpse of the discreet little price tag on the first ring I looked at......a single little diamond, a mere snip at $107,500:eek:   That went back in it's tray very quickly!!
Auntie Brenda.....he has a brother going, but he's the sort of chap that, even if he got round to proposing, would take the PC World + game option mentioned by someone else! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Sorry, I got the best one in the family!
It won't be for a while yet, but I'm determined to have a fantastic wedding that doesn't cost a fortune.....I absolutely refuse to go back into debt for it. With tips from MSE & a bit of planning, it should be possible. Hah - Freebird's Debt-Free Wedding Challenge......now there's a good thread!

Oh I have to say Freebird...when I saw your first post....I went all girly....heart fluttering and everything ..thinking OMG how romantic is THAT! Bless you girl...you got a sweetie there...keep a hold of him!!
BTW....I was the 'even if he got round to proposing, would take the PC World + game option mentioned by someone else!':o  lol! I know mines a sweetie in every other way (thankfully!)....bless him....he's just come to me all apologetically saying his watch says 11th Feb...he thought he had a couple of days...only just realised tomorrow is the 14th...good job I don't go in for all that!!:D

I should have added is that normally OH is a tad unromantic......but then that isn't really what counts, is it? Knowing they're always there for you and would never let you down is much more important.....and when he does suprise me and do something soooooooo sweet, then it's a lovely bonus!
Apologies if my comment came across as saying your OH was anything other than fab....it certainly wasn't meant that way - your comment made me laugh out loud and that's why I mentioned it.0 -
