I'm going to build this up bit by bit until you hopefully have a blinding moneysaving genius.
- if you buy blades from ebay are they real and good quality?
- you can use an old style barbers blade
- double edged blades are cheaper. This Tungstun one from America is no longer made because they were too good: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=Personna+74&_sacat=See-All-Categories
- if you keep your blades in alcohol (or oil) you stop the rust
- if you spend ~£20 you can sharpen your cartidge blades:

- if you work in engineering you might be able to order this diamond plasma cut blade:

- there was also a liquid in the 60's that you could put on the blades and improved the cut, but this is no longer made... anyone got any info?
and finally,
you can sharpen them on your jeans! -

If 8 blades are ~£16 & you use about one a week that's £104 you're saving.
If you've found this useful and sharing the love feel good, tips are always welcome:

Order of events: Banks lose our money -> get bailed out -> were inflating GBP to cover it -> now taxing us -> next will grab your funds direct -> things get really desperate to balance the books. What should have happened?: banks go bust and we lost our money much quicker

An electric shaver will work out far cheaper although many men find it doesn't give them a close enough shave.0

as above. i use the pound shop blades.
a few pkts last me all year.Get some gorm.0 -
Crikey - I buy supermarket own brand twin or triple blades for a few quid, and 1 will last me a month generally ! I'd reckon I spend less than £10 a year on blades!
Agree with this. Bought a couple of packets 2 years ago and they seem to last a good time. I shave every other day.Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problemsWell at least i learn something on the way
