Hi everyone
I'll be in East Anglia in late March and will need to stay in either Norwich or Great Yarmouth for a couple of nights.
Any suggestions where to stay?
I'll be travelling by train, btw.
Thanks

We stayed at the Imperial Hotel in Great Yarmouth for a couple of nights last summer. It's pretty expensive (at around £100 per night) for what you get.
I think if we hadn't been visiting family who lived in GY, we would have got something cheaper and a bit more modern in Norwich and travelled.0 -
I would say Norwich is a million times nicer than Yarmouth, if you have kids then a day trip to the pleasure beach in Yarmouth isn't a bad idea. It depends what you want to see/do.0

I live in Norwich and the best city centre hotel in my opinion is St Giles House - but that would be for a romantic stay as the prices aren't cheap (the food is lovely in the restaurant too!).
What are you here for? With kids? For romance??!?! Or business?
The hotel nearest the train station is the Hotel Nelson which is directly opposite. Its about a 3 star I think and is favoured by elderly couples. If you want one out of Norwich a bit then there is Sprowston Manor which is quite nice or Dunston Hall (both about 5 or 6 miles out).
Depends what you are looking for. I would say avoid Yarmouth - its a hole!!!! Unless you want a grubby B&B!0 -
I Use Anglia House Hotel Wellesley Road Yarmouth, Its Clean With Great Service, nothing Fancy But Very Reasonable0

I'll be in East Anglia on business, with meetings in Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Thetford,Cambridge and Peterborough.
