Hi folks, I searched but can't find a solution relating to iPad. I only use 3G (on a 3 ipad sim) with Safari. I'm using a desktop to post here. What version of iOS is the iPad running now? If it's iOS 5 you don't need to involve iTunes at all.
What do you mean by 'iTunes won't do it'? What part of the process won't it do?

Edit: oh just saw that you don't have wifi. Then yes you will have to use iTunes to update it I assume.
