M&S Credit Card PPI Reclaim

Hi All,
I recently wrote off to M&S money RE terms and conditions for a credit card. They wrote back stating they were under no obligation to send me the ones from when I originally signed up, instead sending me the current ones. Is this true, or are they trying to hide something? Im still not sure if Ive paid PPI on the card, can I send a letter off anyway asking for a refund on the off chance I was paying it?
I took the card out sometime between 2002 - 2005, and paid it off around 2008. I had over £10,000 on at one point, so its worthwhile me finding out about the insurance. Can anyone offer any advice about my next move?
