choosing method of refund

my wife received an offer from Natwest to refund a missold PPI onto her active loan. She'd rather get the money back instead of applying it to the loan, can she decide how she wants to receive it? They are not admitting liability.

If she has any arrears, they will automatically deduct those from the amount.

Other than that I dont see that it matters how it is refunded to be honets, its cheaper for them to do a bank transfer
