Sainsburys Energy ?

If I'm already with British Gas and want to switch to sainsburys energy to get all the nectar card benefits would I be on Sainsburys energy tarrif that could be more/less expensive or would I remain on my current tarrif (as sainsburys energy is provided by British gas) as I cant seem to find prices on their website ?

You need to go through a quote. I did that and it came back with the unit rates. 3.955p for gas and 15.33p for electricity. It says your spend now £436.29 (WRONG!!! I also get a £105 annual DD discount which it has failed to calculate) and your spend with Sainsburys will be £517.55. So I would spend £186.26 a year more with Sainsburys Energy. Sounds great....NOT.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

It is generally recommended not to switch to a provider for the bonuses alone, in this case the Nectar points.
Bearing in mind that is a painfully expensive tariff as it is and you can probably get something a lot cheaper.
For my own usage, £117 more for Sainsbury Energy than I'm already paying on Fix 2012.

You already get Nectar points as a British Gas customer.
