Returning XBOX Kinect after 28 days

I bought a XBOX 360 Kinect with 2 games from Game in Birmingham, for my brother for Xmas. It originally came with Fifa 12, but i didn't want that so they gave a credit note against it.
My brother already had one (i did not know) and so i gave him the reciept and he said he would return it. He tried to return it at the nearest Game store to him in Wolverhampton, and they said he would have to return it in Birmingham becasue of the credit note. However, he got the dates mixed up and it has been over 28 days.
Would Game still accept a return? It is unopened as are the games.
Thank you.

You can always ask but check their T&C's and don't be surprised if they say no, you could always try asking for a credit note (but don't sit on that for too long in the current climate).0

They legally don't have to accept a return full stop, so I think you'll be hard pushed if you're out of the voluntary period.0

Provided that the return was within 28 days and the item was unopened then they are legally obliged to accept the return.
This is because this policy is stated both on their website and shown in store, so it becomes one of the terms of the contract of sale.0 -

I realise that jakg, but I was simply replying to the previous post that statedThey legally don't have to accept a return full stop,
I know that the OP's purchase was over 28 days so the return policy doesn't help in this instance, but to say that in general, game don't have to accept a return is wrong.0
