Remote access scam call

I am such a favorite of theirs they love calling me all the time. Of course its easy to tell its them as they are the only international calls I get to my landline but I got fed up walking to the phone even if just to see I need to ignore it.

I have tried every tactic to wind them up or stop them but they never give up.

So I now have a small device on my phone line than blocks the phone ringing when it detects an international call - eat my disconnect tone suckers!

Sadly I fear your number has now been sold on to a multiple of scamming sources if you are getting lots of calls.

Personally speaking rather than wind them up - and thereby run the 'risk' that they will sell on your number in retaliation I'd have thought it would have wiser to just hang up or indeed left it go though to the answerphone.
Then they know that there is no point in ringing the number and stop calling it.

That scam's been on the news pretty much lately. Thanks for bringing this up. Although most of us already know about this scam, there are still a few who are not aware.

Well, I got a similar call before, too. Did you get it from this number 800-698-9034 , too? Well, that man who called was unbelievably deceiving and I'm afraid he might actually fool somebody. This is why I always post the phone numbers at blog sites for everybody to see. I've even reported the whole scam to this consumer complaint site called CALLERCENTER. I just hope that people heed the warning and be cautious about anonymous phone calls they get.
