Hi,
As the title says I don't have a 10m wall drill bit, but could I use a 10m metal bit? would probalby use a 8m wall bit to drill hole first.
Would save buying a wall 10m as I never use the drill much.
Thanks for advice.

No. You'll need a masonary bit and the drill set to hammer otherwise it will burn the tip away. You have been reading.....another magnificent post by garethgas :beer:0

A masonry drill bill is designed to 'chisel' material ways with a hammering action.
A metal drill bit is designed to slice-cut slivers of metal away.
These are two totally different actions, and all you will a achieve by using the wrong drill is to ruin the bit.
You can buy a basic masonry bit, or even a small set, quite cheaply. In the long run it will save you money, as you won't ruin your metal bits. Masonry bits are probably used more often than metal ones, for fixing into walls etc.0 -
you can buy masonry bits in the pound shop.
not very good quality, but they will do the job.Get some gorm.0
